๐ŸŸ Simple yet flavorful salmon dinner that brings authentic Cajun spice to your table with minimal effort
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Perfect healthy weeknight meal that’s ready in under 30 minutes with just three ingredients

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 4 salmon fillets (4 ounces each, thawed if frozen) for the rich protein and omega-3s

– 1 ยฝ tablespoons olive oil to coat the salmon, create a crispy texture and lock in moisture

– 4 teaspoons Cajun seasoning for spicy, smoky flavor

Instructions

1-Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2-Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to help the seasoning stick and avoid any excess moisture.

3-In a small bowl, mix the 1 ยฝ tablespoons of olive oil with the 4 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning to form a paste.

4-Spread the seasoning paste evenly over the 4 salmon fillets, making sure each one is fully coated.

5-Place the seasoned salmon on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if your fillets have skin.

6-Bake for 16 to 18 minutes until the salmon flakes easily or reaches an internal temperature of 145ยฐF.

7-Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a minute before serving with sides like baked potatoes and broccoli.

Notes

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Pat salmon completely dry before seasoning to ensure the spice paste adheres properly and creates a better crust
๐Ÿ”ฅ Check salmon for doneness early – it continues cooking after removal from oven, so remove when still slightly pink in center
๐ŸŒฟ For extra flavor, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon just before serving
