🌢️ This Baked Honey Cajun Shrimp Recipe delivers a perfect balance of spicy and sweet flavors, making it an exciting dish for seafood lovers.
πŸ‹ Ideal for quick weeknight dinners or parties, its simple preparation and bold taste make it a crowd-pleaser everyone should try.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings (entrΓ©e) or 8 servings (appetizer)

Ingredients

– 1 lb large raw shrimp (21-26 count) peeled and deveined

– 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (juice of 1 small lemon or 1/2 large lemon)

– 1/4 cup extra light olive oil (not extra virgin)

– 1 tablespoon soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon honey

– 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

– 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

– 1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

– 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest

Instructions

1-First, in a medium bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, soy sauce, honey, Cajun seasoning, and chopped fresh parsley. This creates a marinade that’s full of zing and spice. Add the shrimp and stir everything well to coat, then cover and let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour, giving it a stir now and then to make sure the flavors spread out.

2-While that’s happening, mix up your garnish in a small bowl by stirring the chopped parsley and grated lemon zest together, then pop it in the fridge until you’re ready. When the time’s up, preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Transfer the shrimp to a baking dish, spreading them out in a single layer so they cook evenly.

3-Bake them uncovered for about 8 to 10 minutes until they’re firm but not rubbery keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking. Once done, sprinkle on that garnish and serve right away. The sauce left in the pan? It’s perfect for dipping bread, as a little bonus treat. All in, you’re looking at about 1 hour and 10 minutes from start to finish, with just 10 minutes of actual cooking.
