1 ΒΌ cup frozen blueberries (frozen wild blueberries recommended for optimal color and texture)

1 medium ripe banana or 1 cup frozen banana slices for added creaminess

Half of a medium orange, peeled and quartered, for extra vitamin C and flavor

3/4 cup to 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy), as needed for blending

Optional: nut butter, hemp seeds, chia seeds, flaxseed meal, honey, or maple syrup, added to taste for extra nutrition and flavor

Instructions

1-Add the 1 ΒΌ cup frozen blueberries, 1 medium ripe banana (or 1 cup frozen banana slices), half of a medium orange (peeled and quartered), and 3/4 cup milk to a blender. Include any optional ingredients if desired for extra flavor.

2-Blend until the mixture is creamy and smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk (up to 1 cup total). For a colder, icier texture, add ice cubes and blend again.
