๐Ÿซ This Chocolate Bundt Cake recipe delivers moist and rich results every time, perfect for chocolate lovers.
๐ŸŽ‚ Its luscious ganache topping adds an indulgent finish, making it a standout dessert for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: Serves 12

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 2 cups granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 3/4 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup butter

– 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil

– 1/3 cup cocoa powder

– 1 cup water

– 1/2 cup buttermilk

– 2 large eggs

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1 cup mini chocolate chips

– 1 cup heavy cream for the ganache

– 2 cups chocolate chips for the ganache

Instructions

1-In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 cups granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 3/4 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. This mixes the dry ingredients evenly.

2-In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter, then stir in 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, and 1 cup water. Bring it to a boil while whisking to blend everything smooth.

3-Pour the hot mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently to combine. Add 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 large eggs, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, then whisk until smooth.

4-Fold in 1 cup mini chocolate chips to add bursts of chocolate throughout. Pour the batter into your prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.

5-Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool fully.

6-For the ganache, heat 1 cup heavy cream until simmering, pour over 2 cups chocolate chips, let sit for 5 minutes, and whisk until shiny. Drizzle over the cooled cake and sprinkle with extra mini chocolate chips if desired.

Notes

๐Ÿฐ Properly grease and flour the bundt pan to prevent sticking; use a ziplock bag to evenly spread shortening.
๐Ÿซ If any cake sticks, gently scoop loose pieces back before adding ganache to cover imperfections.
โ„๏ธ Cake can be made and frosted up to two days ahead, and frozen (frosted or unfrosted) for up to one month. Thaw overnight in refrigerator.
