๐Ÿช These Chocolate Crinkle Cake Mix Cookies are perfect for easy baking with minimal ingredients and effort.
๐ŸŽ‰ They create a deliciously soft, fudgy cookie with a signature crackled powdered sugar exterior, ideal for beginners and kids alike.

  • Total Time: 31 minutes
  • Yield: 32-36 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale

One box (15.25 oz) of Devil’s Food cake mix Forms the base for the rich chocolate flavor

1/3 cup of canola or vegetable oil Adds moisture and helps the cookies stay tender

2 eggs Binds the ingredients together for that cakey texture

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract Boosts the overall taste with a hint of warmth

Approximately 1/4 cup of powdered sugar Used for coating the dough balls to create the signature crinkle look

Instructions

1-First, grab a large bowl and combine the one box (15.25 oz) of Devil’s Food cake mix with 1/3 cup of canola or vegetable oil, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix everything by hand until it forms a dough no electric mixer needed, which keeps things simple and mess-free. This step is all about getting that smooth base without overworking it.

2-Once mixed, pop the dough in the fridge for 20 minutes; this makes it easier to handle and helps with that perfect crinkle.

3-After chilling, roll the dough into one-inch balls and coat each one fully in about 1/4 cup of powdered sugar for that eye-catching crinkle. Place the balls about two inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet to give them room to spread. Bake at 350ยฐF (177ยฐC) for 9 to 11 minutes until they’re set but still soft in the center.

4-Once baked, let the cookies cool on the pan for one minute before moving them to a rack. This cooling step helps them firm up without getting too crunchy.
