32 ounces (about 907 ml) of marinara sauce

32 ounces (907 grams) of cottage cheese

2 eggs

1 Β½ tablespoons of Italian seasoning

2 teaspoons of garlic powder

Β½ teaspoon of salt

2 cups (approximately 200 grams) of shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)

ΒΎ cup (about 75 grams) of grated Parmesan cheese (divided)

9 regular lasagna noodles

Instructions

1-Getting started with this cottage cheese lasagna bake is as easy as preheating your oven, which sets the stage for a foolproof meal. Begin by preheating the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and positioning the rack in the middle for even cooking. Blending the cottage cheese until smooth helps avoid any curds separating, ensuring a creamy texture throughout.

2-Next, brown the ground meat in a skillet over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes, then drain the grease to keep things light. Add the marinara sauce to the cooked meat and simmer briefly to blend the flavors. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt, then mix in the blended cottage cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella, and Β½ cup of Parmesan cheese to create a rich filling.

3-Now, assemble the lasagna in a 9Γ—13-inch baking dish by spreading ΒΎ cup of the meat sauce on the bottom. Layer 3 uncooked noodles over the sauce, followed by 1Β½ cups of the cheese mixture, and add about ΒΌ cup of meat sauce. Continue layering with noodles, cheese mixture, meat sauce, and noodles, finishing with a layer of meat sauce topped by the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella and ΒΌ cup of Parmesan.

4-Once assembled, cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 55 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 10 minutes to brown the cheese perfectly. Allow the lasagna to rest for 5 minutes before serving, which helps the layers set for easier slicing.
