Ingredients
– 500 g (1 lb) boneless chicken thighs for main protein
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 3 garlic cloves, crushed or minced
– 1 cup heavy or whipping cream
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 2 to 3 cups broccoli, sliced into small florets
– 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice
– Salt and black pepper to taste
– 500 g (1 lb) pasta, cooked
Instructions
1-First, prepare all ingredients by boiling salted water and cooking the pasta until al dente, then drain and reserve 1 cup of the cooking water.
2-Next, heat a large pan over medium-high heat, season the chicken with salt and pepper, and brown it until golden and opaque, which takes about 6-8 minutes, then set it aside.
3-In the same pan, melt the butter and cook the garlic and thyme for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the cream and lemon juice, bringing it to a simmer for a creamy base. Return the chicken to the pan, add the broccoli, partially cover, and simmer for 5-7 minutes until everything is cooked through.
4-Finishing Touches: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce, adding the reserved pasta water as needed to get the perfect consistency. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
