๐Ÿฅฉ Enjoy tender and flavorful Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Steak Bites made easy with simple steps and a delicious au jus gravy.
๐Ÿง„ This recipe is perfect for a hands-off dinner that delivers rich taste and melt-in-your-mouth steak bites every time.

  • Total Time: 4 hours 15 minutes (approximate)
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 3 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

– 2 teaspoons kosher salt

– 1 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (plus more if needed)

– 1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced

– 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

– 1 cup unsalted beef stock

– 1 ounce packet au jus gravy mix

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, thinly sliced

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Ingredients Place 3 pounds of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces, in a large bowl. Add 2 teaspoons of kosher salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper, tossing everything evenly. This takes just a few minutes and sets the foundation for a tasty dish.
Slice 1 small sweet onion and 3 cloves of garlic thinly to add layers of flavor. You’ll also need 1 cup of unsalted beef stock and 1 ounce packet of au jus gravy mix. Arrange 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter thinly for melting over the top.

Step 2: Sear for Extra Flavor Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Brown the steak pieces in batches for color, but don’t cook them all the way through. This step is optional, yet it adds a wonderful depth that makes the bites irresistible!
Add more oil if needed to avoid sticking. Transfer the seared steak to your 6-quart slow cooker, then stir in the sliced onion and garlic gently.

Step 3: Assemble in the Slow Cooker Pour 1 cup of unsalted beef stock over the mixture in the slow cooker. Sprinkle the 1 ounce packet of au jus gravy mix evenly on top and arrange the 4 tablespoons of thinly sliced unsalted butter over everything. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
Stir once per hour if you can, to keep things even. The low setting really brings out the tenderness, just like in traditional slow cooker recipes.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy Once done, serve your Crockpot Garlic Butter Beef Bites with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles to soak up that amazing gravy. Garnish with fresh parsley if you like, for a pop of color and freshness.
This whole process, from prep to table, takes about 15 minutes of hands-on time plus cooking. It’s perfect for busy parents who want a hearty meal without the fuss!

Notes

๐Ÿฅฉ Sirloin steak is recommended for tenderness; stew meat, round steak, chuck roast, or flat iron steak can be used as alternatives.
๐Ÿ”ฅ Searing the meat before slow cooking enhances flavor and color but is optional.
โณ Cooking on low for 6โ€“8 hours yields more tender meat.
