๐ŸŒฎ Enjoy a quick and flavorful family dinner with this Easy Layered Taco Bake packed with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese.
๐Ÿง€ Layers of tortillas, cheesy goodness, and savory beef make this a satisfying meal that’s simple to prepare.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 packet taco seasoning

– Water as called for on seasoning packet (usually 3/4 cup)

– 1/2 cup salsa con queso (can substitute with a cheese dip if preferred)

– 3 (8-inch) flour tortillas

– 2 cups shredded cheese blend (divided use)

Instructions

1-First, brown and crumble 1 pound of ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain any excess grease to keep things light. Once that’s done, add 1 packet of taco seasoning and the required water usually 3/4 cup then stir it all together until it’s well mixed. Turn off the heat and fold in 1/2 cup of salsa con queso for that creamy kick.

2-Building and Baking the Layers: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and give an 8-inch round baking pan a quick spray with nonstick spray to avoid sticking. Lay down one flour tortilla at the bottom of the pan as your base. Add about one third of the seasoned ground beef mixture on top, then sprinkle one third of the 2 cups shredded cheese blend over that.

3-Repeat the layering with the remaining flour tortillas, beef mixture, and cheese to build up the dish. Pop it in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese melts and the edges get a nice brown. Let it cool for a few minutes before you slice and serve, and feel free to top with things like sour cream or diced tomatoes for extra flair.
