๐Ÿ Enjoy a delicious, comforting skillet lasagna that cooks quickly and all in one pan for easy cleanup.
๐Ÿ”ฅ This recipe combines layers of savory Italian sausage, tender noodles, and melty cheese for a satisfying family meal.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1/2 pound Italian sausage

– 2 cloves garlic

– 24 ounces pasta sauce

– 1 cup water

– 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

– 9 lasagna noodles broken into 1-2 inch pieces

– 1 cup ricotta cheese

– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions

1-Cook the Italian sausage and olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium heat until the sausage is fully cooked.

2-Add minced garlic and sautรฉ for one more minute.

3-Stir in the pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, and water to combine.

4-Add the broken lasagna noodles to the sauce.

5-Cover the skillet with a lid, increase the heat to medium-high, and bring the sauce to a boil.

6-Stir briefly, cover again, reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer the noodles in the sauce, stirring occasionally, until they are tender (about 15 minutes). If the sauce thickens before the noodles are done, add more water as needed.

7-In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.

8-Place the ricotta mixture in dollops on top of the noodles, then sprinkle the mozzarella over it.

9-Place the skillet under the oven broiler for a few minutes until the cheese melts and browns slightly, or cover and cook on medium-low until the cheese melts.

10-Serve hot.
