πŸ“ Enjoy the fresh, natural sweetness of strawberries in a creamy homemade ice cream.
🍦 This recipe uses simple ingredients and an easy process to create delightful, fresh-tasting strawberry ice cream at home.

  • Total Time: 3 hours 40 minutes

Ingredients

– 1 1/2 cups strawberries, hulled and diced

– 2 tablespoons honey

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon lemon juice

– 1 cup heavy whipping cream

– 1/2 cup half and half

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– Strawberries Provides fresh, fruity flavor and antioxidants

– Honey and Sugar Adds sweetness and helps with texture

– Cream and Half and Half Creates the creamy base

Instructions

1-First: mix the strawberries, honey, sugar, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes so the berries release their juices, which makes the mixture even tastier.

2-Next, mash it with a fork or blender until smooth, depending on whether you want chunks or a creamy texture.

3-Then, stir in the heavy whipping cream, half and half, and vanilla extract to blend everything together. Pour this into your ice cream maker and churn for about 15-20 minutes. Once it’s done, serve it right away for a soft treat or freeze it for a firmer scoop.

Notes

🍧 Hull and chop strawberries to preferred size to add texture after mashing.
πŸ₯„ Allow the strawberry mixture to sit with sugar, honey, and lemon juice to help juices release and berries soften.
πŸ“ Mash by hand for chunkier ice cream or puree for smooth texture; if pureeing, reduce strawberries to 2/3 to 1 cup to keep creaminess.
