Ingredients
– 12 ladyfingers
– 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (alternative: rum or Marsala wine)
– 8 oz mascarpone cheese
– 1/4 cup confectioners sugar (alternative: granulated sugar, but confectioners sugar is preferred for smoothness)
– 1 cup heavy whipping cream
– 1/2 cup brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
– 2 tablespoons sweetened cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
1-First, combine the mascarpone cheese and confectioners sugar in a bowl until the mixture is smooth and creamy this step is crucial for that silky texture.
2-In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, which adds lightness to the dessert.
3-Next, gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture to keep everything airy.
4-Now, spoon or pipe a layer of this mascarpone cream into the bottom of each serving glass for a solid base.
5-Break the ladyfingers into small pieces and dip them briefly in the cooled coffee or coffee liqueur, making sure theyβre not soggy, then layer them on top.
6-Repeat the layering with more mascarpone cream and the soaked ladyfingers until your glasses are full, and cover them before refrigerating for at least one hour to let the flavors blend.
7-Just before serving, dust the tops with sweetened cocoa powder using a fine sieve.

π« Use sweetened cocoa powder for dusting to enhance the dessert’s sweetness.
π₯ Whipped topping can substitute for homemade whipped cream if a mixer is unavailable.
β For less sweet versions, use stronger rum instead of coffee liqueur and replace cocoa powder with espresso powder to intensify coffee flavor.
