Ingredients
– 4 ounces cream cheese
– Salt and black pepper to taste
– 1 green onion thinly sliced (optional)
– 6 slices deli turkey (alternatives include salami, deli ham, or roast beef)
– 4 slices cheddar cheese (or Swiss, Havarti, Jack, Mozzarella, American, Pepper Jack)
– 2 regular-sized flour tortillas (whole wheat, whole grain, or gluten-free can be used)
– 1/4 cup shredded lettuce or fresh spinach
Instructions
1-Begin by softening the cream cheese so it spreads smoothly, then mix in the green onions, salt, and pepper for extra flavor. This part takes just a minute or two and sets the stage for a great meal.
2-Next, spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly on one tortilla, making sure to cover it well. Sprinkle half of the shredded lettuce or spinach over the top for a fresh crunch. Layer on 3 slices of turkey and 2 slices of cheese on the left side, keeping it away from the edge to make rolling easier.
3-Roll the tortilla gently but tightly to seal everything inside.
4-Use a bit of the cream cheese to help close the edge if it needs it.
5-Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients for the second wrap.
6-Cut each rolled tortilla in half, then slice each half into about 5 pieces, and you’re done takes roughly 10 minutes total!
